Summersounds DJ Picknick is an initiative by the city of Dortmund, where music plays from 2 PM to 10 PM in various parks throughout the city. In addition to the music, there's also the opportunity to grab something to eat or drink, and plenty of space to play, relax on the grass, and enjoy the DJs' sets.
Last year, we performed again at Hoeschpark, and just like the year before, the weather was amazing. From young to old, from groups of friends to families, everyone came together, danced to our music, and enjoyed the sunshine.
This time, we had a little surprise: our special guest was YDFresh from Windhoek, Namibia. He’s a very close friend of ours, and whenever he’s in the area, we're always excited to have him with us, sharing his energy and unique selection of tracks. Dortmund showed him a lot of love, and he was very happy to be part of it.
As a crew, we also handed out some of our stickers to the audience during the event and used our sets to showcase the diversity of Afro-electronic music.
