On August 13th, we brought the Barulho Rave sound to Dresden’s Groovestation,a club in the Neustadt district, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse crowd. Together with local DJ Goldie, we introduced Afro-electronic rhythms to a city not usually exposed to these sounds. The audience welcomed it with open arms, creating a night that felt both refreshing and unforgettable.
On August 13th, we were invited to Dresden. In the heart of Eastern Germany lies the Neustadt district, a colorful and vibrant spot, and right there you can find the Groovestation.
The Groovestation is a well-known club in the area, famous not only for its carefully curated program. Together with three other clubs, it shares a courtyard where the outdoor areas overlap, creating a lively atmosphere beyond the dancefloors.
Inside, the club features a large dancefloor that immediately gives off a Boiler Room vibe, a bar, and an area with table football. You feel at home right away, and filming or taking photos inside is only allowed upon request.
That night, we weren’t alone: local DJ Goldie was also invited, adding her own touch to the evening with her house set.
We had the chance to bring the Barulho Rave sound to a city that hasn’t had much exposure to Afro-electronic music. For us, it was an opportunity to show who we are as a crew, what we stand for, and what we represent. The audience responded enthusiastically, and it felt like it was also refreshing for them to experience new sounds and rhythms.
